El viaje alrededor del mundo de la serie de Zurbarán ‘Jacob y sus doce hijos’ sirve de hilo conductor para adentrarnos en la vida y la obra de uno de los titanes del barroco español, a la vez que descubrimos la peculiar historia de esta serie. Tras exponerse en Dallas, Nueva York y Jerusalén, las pinturas regresan a su residencia habitual en el Castillo de Auckland, como pieza central de un proyecto que busca la
regeneración de esa zona en el Noreste de Inglaterra.

   

The trip around the world of Zurbarán's series 'Jacob and his twelve sons' serves as a common thread to delve into the life and work of one of the titans of the Spanish Baroque, while discovering the peculiar history of this series. After being exhibited in Dallas, New York and Jerusalem, the paintings return to their habitual residence in Auckland Castle, as the centerpiece of a project that seeks to regenerate that area in the North East of England.
