Se trata de un documental sobre el actor David Prowse que interpretó a Darth Vader en la primera trilogía de “La guerra de las galaxias”. Muy conocido por los fans de Star Wars, es un actor anónimo para la mayoría de la gente, aunque interpretara al villano más conocido de la historia del cine. Con este documental pretendemos rendir un sentido homenaje al actor detrás de la máscara, detrás de una leyenda que marcó a toda una generación. Él nunca mostró su rostro, ni escuchamos su voz (fue doblado por el actor James Earl Jones y en “El retorno del jedi” el verdadero rostro de Vader fue interpretado por Sebastian Shaw). Pero siempre estuvo allí, enfundado en el traje de Vader. Ahora, a sus 77 años, sigue asistiendo a convenciones de Star Wars por todo el mundo, firmando autógrafos y atendiendo a miles de fans. David Prowse no solamente destacó por interpretar a Darth Vader. También participó en varios films de la Hammer (”Horror of Frankenstein” y “Monster from Hell”); en la mítica película de Stanley Kubrick “La naranja mecánica”, y entre otras cosas, fue el preparador físico de Christopher Reeve en el “Superman” de Richard Donner.

This is a documentary about the actor David Prowse who played Darth Vader in the first trilogy of “Star Wars”. Well known by fans of Star Wars, he is an unknown actor for most people, although he played the role of the best known villain in cinema history. With this documentary we intend to pay a heartfelt tribute to the actor behind the mask, behind a legend that marked a whole generation. He never showed his face or let hear his voice (he was dubbed by the actor James Earl Jones and in "Return of the Jedi" the Vader's true face was played by Sebastian Shaw). But he was always there, wearing Vader costume. Now, at 77, he continues to attend Star Wars conventions worldwide, signing autographs and heeding thousands of fans. David Prowse not only noted for playing Darth Vader. He also participated in several films of Hammer ("Horror of Frankenstein" and "Monster from Hell"); in the legendary film of Stanley Kubrick "A Clockwork Orange" and among other things, was the trainer of Christopher Reeve in Richard Donner´s “Superman”.
