Al padre de Euxebi lo mataron durante la guerra. En su juventud Euxebi sufrió la represión franquista, y a pesar de que la dictadura acabara hace mucho, hasta hoy no ha tenido oportunidad de recuperar la memoria de su padre. Tras muchos años buscándole, cuando por fin abren la fosa donde se encuentra, Euxebe deposita una foto junto a sus huesos.
Euxebi’s father was killed during the war. In her youth, Euxebi suffered Francoist repression and, to this day, despite the fact that the dictatorship ended long ago, she has not had the change to recover the memory of her father. After many years, when they finally open the grave where her father is, Euxebi puts a picture next to his bones.

El colectivo:
Areka es el fruto de la colaboración creativa de una veintena de jóvenes artistas. El molde cultural tradicional vasco (el bersolarismo) confluye con la experimentación audiovisual, inspirándose en un "bertso" creado por Andoni Egaña expresamente para este proyecto.
Todos los creadores han trabajado de forma colaborativa, intercambiando tanto técnicas y modalidades de trabajo como experiencias y posibilitando un aprendizaje mutuo. Por ello, este film mantiene un gran coherencia visual.
