En la apacible localidad de Balboa, la familia Harper, compuesta por Lucia, su suegro y sus hijos Bea y David, enfrenta la ausencia del padre que trabaja en Europa durante las festividades navideñas. Preocupada por su hija, Lucía visita a Ted Darby para pedirle que se aleje de ella. In the peaceful town of Balboa, the Harper family, consisting of Lucia, her father-in-law, and her children Bea and David, grapples with the absence of their father working in Europe during the Christmas festivities. Concerned for her daughter, Lucia visits Ted Darby to ask him to stay away. However, after a heated family argument, the daughter defies her mother and meets with Darby, leading to a tragedy when he dies after
colliding with an anchor shortly thereafter.
