Charlotte is a famous concert pianist who has been so involved in her career that she has not seen her daughter Eva in seven years. Eva, who lives with her husband, a Protestant pastor, and a severely disabled sister, has a love-hate relationship with her mother. After so many years, Charlotte decides to visit them, but the encounter will soon become a tense duel between mother and daughter.
